newGlory, Old Classic, and turn timers
October 2026
- Glory: take a player out and you earn a ★ star and immediately choose an upgrade for the rest of the match: Sharpshooting (+1 range), Toughness (+1 ♥ to your max and +1 ♥ right now), or Instinct (each time you draw, you look at 3 cards and keep 2). Stars are visible to everyone next to the portrait.
- Bounty: take out a player who has stars and you claim one of their stars and draw a card for each one. The leader becomes a target for the whole table.
- Last Bullet: a Marshal whose Deputies have all been eliminated gets a star without firing a shot.
- New mode: "Old Classic" — the rules of the original card game, with none of our changes: Cover works on hearts, Jail makes you skip your entire turn, and there's no High Noon or Glory.
- Turn timer: 15, 30, 60, or 90 seconds for each decision — chosen before the game.
- You can no longer guess roles from the deal. The hidden roles — Deputy, Raider, Loner, Double Agent — start with their character's health and the same number of cards. The open Marshal keeps the balance: at 6 seats he gets 2 extra cards at the start, at 7 seats one, at 8 seats one fewer. Law and Raiders now win almost equally often.
- High Noon now disables healing too: the Flask, the Saloon, and the Bonesetter's ability no longer work. The drawn-out duels of "I heal faster than I get hit" are gone, and the longest game is now three times shorter.
- Six characters have been rebalanced. Double Barrel needs two Ricochets only at point-blank range. For Pass Shadow, the Horse gives +2. Stone Leopard at 2 ♥ or less draws 2 cards per hit. Vulture Jr. draws 2 cards when someone is eliminated. Mad Dog sees 1 farther. The Bonesetter has 5 ♥. In "Old Classic," the characters stay as in the original.
- We played almost one and a half million test games with bots to check the balance of every mode.
Double Agent and an early High Noon
October 2026
- The "Impostor" mode is now "Double Agent." At the deal, the Marshal is secretly told the names of two Deputies, but one of them is a Raiders' agent. The agent and the Raiders know each other, and the agent wins together with them. Before, the Impostor won alone too often and took wins away from the Raiders.
- If you secretly know someone's role, you can see it right at the table: the role badge has a dotted outline. On the Marshal's badge it shows a question mark — "Deputy?".
- High Noon now starts from round 8 instead of round 10. Drawn-out endgames got shorter.
- On your phone, the seats around the table no longer overlap.
- Full screen: there's always a move button or a "whose turn" line at the bottom, and the cards in your hand are larger and labeled.
- The home screen now shows that you signed in with Google.
Points, rating and Google sign-in
October 2026
- After every game you get ★ points and a ranking. Winning with a rare role earns more points, and there's a bonus for playing to the end and for surviving. Games with only bots count for half.
- Five ranks, from Greenhorn to Legend of the West, each with its own badge. Your rank, rating, and weekly and seasonal standings are in "My Office".
- Sign in with Google: your history, points, and ranking are saved to your profile for good and gathered from all your devices. We never see your Google password. Without signing in, everything works as before.
- In your game history you can see how many points each game earned and how your rating changed.
- We've updated our privacy policy: point by point, what we store, why, and how to delete it — bangarena.app/privacy.
A pre-match intro screen and new graphics
October 2026
- Before the match, a short intro plays: the cards fly out to their places, a star flares up above the Marshal, and your role card flips over with your objective. Tap anywhere to close it, and the game carries on without a delay.
- The Marshal starts the first turn 3 seconds after the deal, so everyone has time to see their role. Their turn timer starts after this pause.
- From round 10, High Noon is announced with a rising-sun banner.
- New artwork: Saloon, Flask, Sawed-Off and the Stone Leopard portrait have been redrawn, and so have the link previews in messengers.
- For journalists: a press kit with a description of the game and images: bangarena.app/press.
High Noon and role balance
October 2026
- High Noon: from round 10, Shots have no limit for everyone, and Cover no longer saves you. Games stopped dragging on — most now end in 35–55 turns.
- Role balance: the Marshal's ♥ bonus now depends on the number of seats (4 seats — +2, 5 — no bonus, 6 — +2, 7 and 8 — +1). We played over 50,000 bot games: at any number of seats, the Law's win rate is between 40% and 52%.
- Characters: Stone Leopard now has 3 ♥; Iron Brow's built-in Cover and a Cover card together make one check, not two.
- Law bots shoot more decisively and no longer stall the game, and bots have learned to plant Dynamite.
- Impostor mode is now marked as beta — it was winning too often, and we're reworking it.
- Weapons now have consistent names everywhere: Volcanic, Sawed-Off, Rifle, Carbine, Long Rifle. We fixed the Cover description in the in-game rules and several inaccuracies in the hints.
v2026.10.10 — 22 languages and a personal account
October 2026
- The game, the rules and the whole site are now available in 22 languages: Russian, English, Chinese, Spanish, Arabic, Hindi, Portuguese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Italian, Turkish, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Polish, Ukrainian, Persian, Thai, Dutch, Kazakh and Kyrgyz. The language is picked automatically from your device settings, and the switcher is at the top.
- Personal account: your game history, totals by role and character, and 20 achievements.
- The server is now more reliable and more secure.
Bots play by their roles, match summaries, a bonus for the Raider
October 2026
- Bots now play their own role: the Marshal and Deputies hunt anyone who attacks the Marshal, Raiders go after the Marshal, and the Loner bides their time. Bots almost never shoot their own side.
- At each bot's seat you can see who's controlling it: "⚙ Bot" plays by the rules, no LLM. AI players are marked with "🧠" and the model name.
- Match results: stats for every player, badges like "Most Damage Dealt," "Most Shots Dodged," "Most Healing" and more, plus personal achievements.
- Raider bounty: whoever takes out a Raider draws 2 cards. A Marshal who takes out their own Deputy tosses all their cards.
- "⛶ Table only" mode: the feed and log hide, and the table gets bigger.
- "Roles at the table": all the roles in the game, with eliminated ones crossed out.
- The Dynamite, Jail and Cover checks now show the actual card with its artwork. The screen no longer jumps while bots take their turns.
- Short bot names in the interface language: "Bot 3," "Bot 3."
- Full rules with screenshots: roles, turns, distance, all cards and characters, room settings. There's an English version and a version for AI agents.
v2026.10.09b — a "Back" button in the room
October 9, 2026
- You can now leave a room for the main screen and change the number of seats, the role mode or the speed. If another player is in the room, the host role passes to them.
v2026.10.09 — a clearer table
October 9, 2026
- Game speed: slow, normal, fast.
- A played card is shown face up and large, with a "who → whom" caption.
- Each player's hand size, bonuses (weapon, Cover, Horse, Scope, Jail, Dynamite) and known roles at the seats.
- A player card when you tap a portrait: role, health, cards, distance, everything on the table with descriptions.
- Table signals: claim a role, react, mark who you think another player is. Preset options only, no free text.
v2026.10.08 — a bigger table and new roles
October 8, 2026
- Up to 8 seats at the table.
- "Partners" and "Impostor" role modes.
- The results show the winners and every player's role.
- New artwork for all 22 cards and 16 characters, plus new table and main screen graphics.
